Our Bourbon & Rye Tasting class is a gentle reminder we haven’t always lived in a Bourbon Boom like we do today. In this class, we will cover four distinct types of American whiskey, while explaining how these whiskeys are made and how their production methods evolved during the last 300 years. Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at how the bourbon business evolved into the juggernaut it is today.

The Story of Bourbon Cocktails, 1774-1933
Our Bourbon Cocktails class is the story of America’s first Whiskey Cocktail. We’ll explore how the Cocktail’s story became intertwined with the rise of bourbon, and why bourbon became so popular in the United States. In this class, you’ll learn what happened during the first 150 years of cocktail history, how to make three bourbon cocktails at home, and which bourbons to pair with cocktails.

The Martini: Tales from the Golden Age
In our Gin Cocktails class, you’ll learn the mysterious origins of the Martini Cocktail, which became popular during the Golden Age of the 1870s, an era of diamond-tipped stirring spoons, champagne, vermouth, absinthe, and grand old hotel bars. We’ll teach you how to make three classic Martini recipes, the history of the Martini’s ingredients, and why the Martini remains the world’s most iconic cocktail.
